No matter what DiscRevolt products you use, they’ll come with a free redemption platform. The redemption platform is our code redemption and download platform. It sits on your website and delivers your media.
Absolutely. We work with folks all over the world. We currently support transactions in U.S. dollars only.
Unfortunately, JavaScript is not compatible on all website platforms. If this is the case with your website, you’ll need to link to your redemption platform or StoreFront as it’s own unique URL (which will be launched in a separate browser window/tab). While this isn’t the optimal user experience, it is certainly functional for sites that do not accept JavaScript.
Nope, we work with artists in all genres!
No matter which StoreFront option you choose, your first month is free (we just ask that you tweet or update your Facebook status that you’re working with DiscRevolt). Want more freebies? Refer a new artist to get an additional month free. Order Download Cards and get another month free. Uhh, nope, there is no limit to the number of free months you can earn.
Your best bet is to deliver your files as MP3s. MP3s are playable any media player, support metadata (think artist name, album art, genre, etc.) and are available as high quality audio files (320 kbps is our recommendation).
Absolutely. You can sell multiple albums via different download cards using the same redemption platform on your website. Once a fan enters their code, they will be taken directly to the particular album for which their code is valid. It’s simple. Give us a call and we can explain in more detail.
Your order will ship within 10 business days of the date we approve your artwork (although we typically ship quicker than that). If you absolutely need your download cards quicker we can expedite your order – give us a call to make sure we can meet your deadline.
Yes, your cards can be redeemed for any media you want. Your fans will download a zip file that will contain all of your content. You can include any additional files you may want in the zip file (chord charts, liner notes, bio, a thank-you note to your fans, pictures, etc.). Please note that we won't modify the zip file at all. Your fans will download the zip file exactly as you send it, so it’s important that you organize it accordingly.
Since all of your fans won’t have a high-speed internet connection, you’ll probably want to limit the size of the zip file to around 200MB or less (this size constraint won’t be relevant for most artists, since your zip files will be much smaller). This will ensure your fans have relatively quick download times.
We really want you to send fans to your website to redeem their Download Cards, since that allows you to engage with them more directly. Your fans may also redeem their Download Cards from your MySpace page or your blog. If you don’t have a website, MySpace page or blog you’d like to send fans to, we can create a simple splash page for you, similar to this.
Never. Although you can collect data from fans (email address, for instance) as they redeem your cards, they will never be asked to create a username or password or sign into any DiscRevolt account.
Literally anything you want. Your download will be delivered as a single zip file and your fans will click once and download all of the media. The contents of your zip file may be a full album, liner notes, a bio, a tour schedule and some band photos. Or a 3-song EP, some ringtones and a handwritten thank-you note to your fans. The content is completely up to you.
If at any time you need to update your zip file, just send us the new one and we’ll replace the old one. No charges, fees, costs or anything like that. We know things change and we’re here to help.
Your download cards will not expire. Your redemption platform, however, is valid for 12 months from the date you receive your cards. After that it’s just $12 to extend your redemption platform for 12 months.
Yep, we sure can. In fact, we’re pretty good at it. Give us a call and let’s talk about your project. 404-477-4339.
Download Cards can be slot punched to hang on a lanyard or keychain. In fact, this is a great way to display your cards when you’re at the merch table after a show. Put a card on a lanyard around your neck and everyone will ask, “what’s that!?”
Yes, you sure can. However, for every transaction under $5 DiscRevolt keeps a flat $0.50. This covers our credit card transaction costs.
No, we don’t charge any media storage fees or have any limits. If you have tons of content you want to sell through your store, bring it on.
We’ll handle all customer service issues and make sure your fans leave happier than they came. We strive to be easy to find for customer support issues, but sometimes fans will contact the artist instead. If your fans contact you with questions regarding your DiscRevolt products, please direct them to us at support@discrevolt.com.
Absolutely. All credit card transactions are processed through an encrypted secure connection.
DiscRevolt keeps 15% of sales revenue through your StoreFront to cover credit card transactions, data hosting and transfer fees and all that technical behind-the-scenes stuff. We also handle any customer service issues, warehouse inventory and fulfill all orders so you don’t have to worry about any of that. This means you keep 85% of all revenue generated by your StoreFront. Much better than the 30% you’re keeping with iTunes.
Package everything up tightly and send it to the following address:
DiscRevolt Merch
310 Prospect Place
Alpharetta, GA
30005
Be sure to email info@discrevolt.com to let us know to expect the package.
We don’t charge a warehousing fee. You send us your merch, we warehouse it for free, then ship it to your fans when they purchase it. When you’re running low on something we’ll be sure to let you know in ample time to send us more inventory.
When you make a sale that involves a physical product we’ll package it up and ship it to the fan. When we’re running low on inventory we’ll give you plenty of time to restock. Our fulfillment service costs you nothing extra. The fan pays for shipping and handling. You just collect your check at the end of the month.
You’ll be paid no later than 30 days after the end of the month in which your sales took place, provided you are owed $25 or greater. If your cumulative unpaid sales are less than $25, we’ll wait to pay you until the earlier of a) 90 days or b) the time at which your cumulative unpaid sales reach $25 or greater.
Yes, you certainly can. All credit card transactions under $5.00 are subject to a flat $0.50 fee (instead of the 85/15 revenue share). This flat fee covers the fixed transaction costs we are charged by the credit card companies.
Use your StoreFront on your website, MySpace, and anywhere else you can paste HTML. You can link to your DiscRevolt StoreFront from any website.
If it’s been a while and you haven’t received your package, we apologize and we’ll try to help you as quickly as possible. Please send you order details to support@discrevolt.com.

DiscRevolt’s purchase process uses SSL, the standard way to ensure secure online transactions. The SSL icon is displayed on the page where you enter your credit card info.

Our payment system is very sensitive to possible fraudulent charges. Unfortunately we cannot always discern why a transaction was declined; sometimes it simply shows up as “declined”. First, please check your billing address information and credit card number, expiration date and security code. Please wait at least 5 minutes before attempting a transaction on the same card that was declined. If the transaction still will not go through, the best thing to do is to try another credit card.
If your bank has confirmed that there are no issues on their side, please email support@discrevolt.com and provide a brief overview of the situation and problem. Please include the first 4 digits and last 4 digits of the credit card you attempted the transaction with so we can locate the order attempt.
Your email receipt is sent to the email address specified within minutes of your purchase. Your email receipt contains links to download the contents of your purchase.
If you have not received your email receipt and your purchase was processed successfully (you received a purchase confirmation screen along with your download link(s)), please contact support@discrevolt.com.
