Braving the Funeral Records "Quincy's Busted Lip"
The band began as a solo project for singer/songwriter Sean Ridenour. After parting ways from his former band and striking out on his own, Sean began the process of listening to what his heart had to say. (Sounds sappy...)
And, it surprised him. The songs that became the debut album, "Quincy's Busted Lip," were honest in ways he didn't expect. They were heartbroken and happy all at once. In a strange twist, too, Sean discovered the songs he had been writing were forecasting his future.
With influences ranging from The Postal Service and Beck to Wilco and The Flaming Lips, the album covers a spectrum of sounds while staying true to itself. Its sparkling pop honesty is the driving force behind "Quincy's Busted Lip."
Today, Braving the Funeral is gearing up for a series of summer shows with plans to record a follow-up to "Quincy's Busted Lip."
